Crescent Beach Water Quality -- No Oil Here!

Just in case you were wondering, Crescent Beach has some of the highest quality water in Florida. the NRDC released its 2010 water quality report and found that St. Johns County--where Crescent Beach is located--ranks in the top 7 counties in Florida for beach water quality.

So ok, the title of this post is a bit "sensational" since the study would have been done before the BP disaster, it does speak to how generally clean Crescent Beach water is as compared to the rest of the state.

Collier, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Franklin, St. Johns, and St. Lucie were the only counties that had no exceedances, meaning all tests indicated no beach water exceeded Florida standards. That means that each of the testing sites in the table above, including St. Augustine Beach, the Matanzas Inlet, and Crescent Beach (these are the closest sites to Solstice House) were in the "clear" so to speak.

That's great news for swimmers at Solstice!
